October 16th, 2023: Katie the Long Haired Dachshund
We had the pleasure of working with Leah recently, and we must say the experience was exceptional. Leah truly impressed us with her experience and dedication to Katie’s training.
First and foremost, her knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques was evident form the start. She had a deep understanding of Dachshunds and their unique needs, which allowed for a tailored approach to Katie’s lessons and training. Whether we were
working on basic obedience or behavior modification, she had a approach and solution for every situation.
What set her apart was her patience and compassion. She approached Katie with a genuine love for dogs and a commitment to positive reinforcement. Her training methods were kind, gentle, and effective, promoting trust and understanding between Katie and us.
Communication was another strength of Leah’s training. Through the use of lesson summaries and videos we were able to follow the training process making it easy to understand and review the training points when needed. .This encouraged us to ask questions and offered guidance outside of training sessions, ensuring ongoing support and success.
In addition to her skills, her professionalism was outstanding. Punctuality, consistency, and a genuine passion for her work made the training enjoyable and productive. Her dedication to the well-being of dogs and their owners was evident throughout all the training.
Overall, we highly recommend Leah as a dog trainer. Her training methods created a positive and successful experience for Katie and us. If you are looking for a dog trainer who can bring out the best then give Leah a call.

Mazie loves Leah….and so do we!
2022, November 6th: Mazie is our rescue poodle who is about six years old. When we got Mazie, she was neither housebroken nor leash trained. The house training went very well and within a few weeks, we were on a regular schedule. Mazie gets so excited when Leah comes for her training sessions and that excitement continues throughout each session. Mazie is doing very well with sit, down, stand and stay commands. We are just starting with loose leash walking and heel. Leah is extremely thorough in all aspects of the training. We appreciate that Leah’s methods are all positive, reward-based reinforcement. Mazie has learned quickly with these methods and they are easy for us to follow when we practice the lessons on our own. Leah provides excellent lesson summaries and tip sheets to use as a reference in between sessions. Thanks to Leah, we are all much happier together.

Hopper Family in The Villages, October 2022:
2022 October: If you’re looking for someone that enjoys continuing education and staying on top of the newest research, is knowledgeable in positive reinforcement training, lets you send videos during the week to offer encouragement & ideas, and will love your fur babies while training…then Leah is your girl!
We have 2 Havanese pups. Cosmo is 18 months and suffered from severe separation anxiety and was “Guarding”. These issues were a combination which created the “The Perfect Storm.” With-in a very short time, Leah had calmed the seas and gave us a plan to move forward.
Charlie is 12 months and has fear aggression. We have only been working on this for a couple of months and we are already seeing positive results with reward-based training. I never would have thought of these training techniques and they are working beautifully.
Both boys are learning proper door manners, walking politely on leash, responding to verbal and visual commands, and being ok with me stopping their play when it becomes too rough and head to their safe place/crates!
We couldn’t be happier with all Leah has taught us. She is easy to talk to, listens to all our concerns, loves our boys, and is the best trainer!
Last October (2020) I added a new little, 10 week old Yorkie, to my family of 2 pups. One being a 14 year old mini poodle named Didty, my other little boy a 7 year old Yorkie named Murphy. I thought I would bring this adorable little girl home and she would just mesh seamlessly in my little family.
Boy was I wrong. She had boundless energy. If she wasn’t trying to chew on Didty’s ears she was basically all over Murphy. Didty quickly put her in her place, gently but sternly growling. Murphy would just look at me with eyes pleading to help him. So now I absolutely did not have a family that meshed but one always separated by a gate. I was not happy, neither were they.
The following Monday Roxy had her first appointment with my vet. I voiced my concerns of them all getting along. I was given the best advice I ever received. One of the techs gave me a business card for Leah at Trinity K9. At the time I thought: Come on, I’ve had dogs all sizes all my life. I never needed a trainer before, or so I thought. After we arrived back home I tried integrating Roxy with my other 2. Of course, with the same results. I guess I did need help. I called Leah left a message and then sent a text. Like one of them wasn’t enough. She called me back the same day, I think she sensed my utter frustration from both messages. I explained my situation and we set up a session.
Roxy will be one year next month. Unfortunately Didty crossed The Rainbow Bridge in the Spring. But Roxy did learn to leave Didty’s ears alone and to play with Murphy. Murphy will now even look for her. We still sometimes use a gate. I learned playtime is earned. Roxy behaves much more acceptably to Murphy since Leah came into our lives. She still has boundless energy as she’s a puppy. However, now I’ll say a gentle uh-oh and she stops jumping on Murphy.
It’s not just Roxy who has learned, I have also. Leah taught me about their nutrition, proper toys for them. And how I can train Roxy. The 3 of us work together. Leah shows me what I need to do with Roxy. I practice, usually daily, until the next session. It has been amazing seeing all she learns, while both of us are having fun. Not a year yet she sits, lies down, stands, stays, and does tricks like paw, roll over, bow, and others. If she doesn’t do it right, there’s a gently uh-oh. No raising of your voice. If she does it right she gets her treat. She has fun, I have fun. Both while learning.
I truly believe Leah to be the best trainer I could have gotten. She loves her little and big pup clients. And has become an inspiration and friend to me. We will continue Roxy’s lessons as long as she loves it and continues to learn.
I have no doubt in my mind or heart that if I am lucky enough to bring another pup into our family, weather a young one or old, Leah would be one of my first calls to set up a session. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Leah Morse has been helping us train our Red Golden Retriever since October 5, 2020. Sophie was one year old at the time and we really needed help managing some of her behaviors as well as her boundless energy. Our first session lasted 3 hours and it was immediately apparent that Leah was much more than a dog trainer. She quickly helped us understand the reason for Sophie’s behaviors. She taught us about canine nutrition, appropriate treats and supplements. All of Leah’s training is based on positive reinforcement. If Sophie completes a task she is rewarded with a treat. If not, no treat is given. As we have a food motivated dog, this method works beautifully. Leah has “trained” all of us at our own pace and sends emails after every session for our reference. She has allowed us to video her so we can look back between sessions. She is also available for questions or concerns between appointments. We now have a calmer, more well behaved dog. We can’t thank Leah enough. It has been a real transformation. We were always motivated to consistently work with Sophie but did not know what to do. Leah has guided us every step of the way. Leah clearly loves what she does for a living and it comes shining through! We highly recommend her if your puppy/dog needs training. You will surely benefit from her expertise.

Our passion is both the dogs we help train and their people. Training should be a joy for all involved. It is always refreshing when they let us know how happy they are with the training help they receive.
Please check out our referring friends. We are very thankful for all they do for us.
“Leah has been amazing for Moxie! I got Moxie during the height of the pandemic and waited a bit to start training. Since Moxie was already 4-5 months old and she hadn’t been around people much, she was highly anxious (it was extreme!). From the first session, Leah was completely calm and had a plan to work with Moxie. Leah gave me tons of resources in an email after each session including videos that I could watch reviewing the training we did in sessions. In the time Leah worked with Moxie, she went from barking the entire first session when Leah was in the house (because Moxie wasn’t used to having anyone other than family in the home), to running out to meet Leah and being so excited to train she would follow Leah inside and sit down in front of her naturally! Moxie knows basic commands which is fantastic, but the even better part is her anxiety has lowered so much! Leah was so helpful and made me feel more confident as a first time dog owner. Moxie’s much more well adjusted and happy in addition to a better behaved dog thanks to Leah. If you are looking for a phenomenal dog trainer, I would highly recommend Leah!” Stephanie Gilbert The Villages Florida May 2021 |
We have used Leah to train all three of our Australian Labradoodles and have had great success with her. Our doodles all have different personalities and Leah was able to easily help us with our fearful doodle as well all the more laid back ones. The best compliment we can give is the comment made by a friend who was recently visiting. She said “I forgot what it was like to be around well behaved dogs” and this is a testament to Leah’s exceptional training techniques which are easy to repeat even when she is not around. Our girls love Leah and responded very well to her reward based training methods. We highly recommend Leah to anyone looking for puppy training help.

“I began working with Leah when my boss hired her to train her puppies. She was so amazing with them and they always looked forward to school days. When I adopted a puppy of my own it was a no brainer for me to call Leah to train her as well. My puppy learned so many things from Leah and her training methods are so sweet and gentle that my puppy also always looked forward to school days. We still use Leah’s techniques today and my Luna is a happy, healthy, and well adjusted dog because of it. I highly recommend Leah for all of your dog training needs. “

My wife and I brought home an 8 week old Lab. Retriever. We wanted to get a start on Chloe’s training ASAP. Hence through research we decided to go with Leah Morse, LeahstrinityK9@gmail.com.
The best day of my life as a dog owner was the day I met Leah. My wonderful puppy was suffering from living with a human poorly prepared to care for him. Leah taught me how to let Bentley be the happy dog he naturally is and how to teach him to be a well-mannered companion. Despite reading numerous books and trying other local trainers, I could not overcome my early mistakes in housetraining. Then Leah came to the rescue. She walked me though every step and clearly set out the methods that proved successful. Leah has a remarkable ability to communicate with dogs (and with dog owners) that is part natural connection with the dog and part long experience and study. She also was a tremendous help is getting Bentley ready for the show ring. Part of my agreement with the breeder was that she could show Bentley until he became an AKC Champion. With Leah’s guidance, Bentley became a Champion in only his second show and earned all his points over one weekend – a most unusual achievement. I recommend Leah without reservation. Listen to her, trust her and you will have a dog that is the best he or she can be.

Latte
Leah,
I want to thank you for helping me train my Havanese puppy, Latte.
She has progressed very well since you’ve been working with me.
Latte can do so much more as a puppy than I would have ever hoped. She’ll settle, heel, stay, and do lots of tricks. Her manners are quickly improving.
My vet and her assistant were absolutely amazed to see Latte ‘settle’, twice, on command, as they were re-examining her. Latte was only 4 months at that point.
Now, I regularly get complements from neighbors who see Latte prancing at heel, on a loose leash.
I strongly recommend you as a trainer, and I thank you for everything.
Best regards,
Debbie Collins, The Villages FL 7-22-18
When Bailey went to get certified as a therapy dog he failed because he had become aggressive toward other dogs. Leah worked with us for six weeks to accomplish our goal. I found Leah to be competent, punctual, and successful with her training methods. I would highly recommend her services.

After over 15 years without a dog my husband and I decided that we were in the right place to make the commitment to bring a dog into
our family. That was in Feb. 2011. I started researching training programs because we knew that Labs have a lot of energy and can be a handful if not given guidance. Most of the puppy classes I looked into wanted her to be older before starting and I wasn’t thrilled about reading course material that centered on playing with toys. On our first visit to our vet we saw Leah Morse’s business cards displayed on the counter and asked for a reference. Our veterinarian and the staff raved about her capabilities stating they had all used her for their dogs.
I contacted Leah and explained that Bella was only 8 weeks old. She had us bring her over that weekend so she could observe Bella and explain her training methodology. While Leah was explaining to us that her methodology was touch free training she was working with Bella using some small pieces of cheese stick. In no time at all she had her sitting and lying down. She wanted us to understand that if we chose to take classes from her we would be learning touch free training (no choke collars, no devices, no pushing the dog into positions). We would be learning how to get Bella to do things because she wanted to do them. I asked about what was going to be taught in the 8 week class. She told us sit, down, sit stay, down stay, walking on the leash on your left side, recall, finish. They would also learn to socialize with the other dogs before and after class. They would also learn to have their mouth, teeth, ears and paws handled so they would learn how to act when being examined by the vet. This was much more what I was looking for. She had a class starting when Bella was 10 weeks. I asked if she was too young and was pleasantly surprised that Leah replied that she was a great age.
Since then Rich, Bella and I have gone through Levels 1, 2 and 3 with Leah. Leah supplied wonderful written training materials for each class. Weekly we received emails with a multipage document that detailed what we would be learning the class coming up that weekend. After the class was over we had the materials to refer to while we were working with Bella during the week to learn each exercise. If we had any questions, we just emailed, texted or called Leah and she would explain what we needed to know.
Thinking back I would say that Bella flew through each class without a hitch. At the time we were taking them it didn’t always seem that way. In Level 1 she was much younger than the other puppies. At times, we became discouraged that she wasn’t learning quickly enough but Leah was always positive and explained that Bella was young and less mature than the other dogs that were almost 6 months. She was always available by email, text or phone when I had questions about the exercises or needed help working through an issue. In Level 2 again she was only 6 months old and the other dogs were over a year. She could easily learn all the commands and perform them at home, but her focus in class was not the same as the other dogs. Leah worked with us on different techniques that were age appropriate for her. She passed the Level 2 class and her CGC test at 8 months.
We took a bit of a break and then started Level 3 (off leash skills working up to only hand signals) when Bella was just over a year old. The first class was a disaster for us. It was like Bella had no interest at all in taking on any new skills. We were going to quit after the second week. Leah worked with us and helped us to realize that Bella was growing up. She was no longer motivated by food rewards. We found her motivation was playing ball or other high energy level activities. So, our training session at home centered on making everything a game. She flourished once Leah helped us to understand what motivated her. Bella understood if she had a good training session it meant playing. Leah helped us take her from a dog that looked tired and disinterested to one that was full of energy and focused on us during class and home sessions. You can see video of Bella at 15 months on the Rocky Mountain Classic Canine web site under the Level 3 courses.
In our Level 3 class we had the opportunity to observe Leah working with another dog named Shelby. Shelby was a very fearful dog. So, fearful she was aggressive toward other dogs and people. Even if she perceived either of us or Bella were looking at her she would react aggressively. Shelby’s owner Susan took many classes with different trainers trying to help socialize Shelby. Leah used different techniques with Susan and Shelby than she did with us. She was very patient and worked up to where she could be near Shelby and touch her during exercises. By the end of Level 3 Shelby could perform all the required exercises. I was amazed by this and know that Susan and Leah worked very hard to make this happen.
In 2012, we brought home our second Lab puppy named Abby. Abby and Bella are half sisters. Leah’s puppy class had already started so I used class materials from Bella to get her started. Because we wanted to get her socialized with other dogs we enrolled her in a puppy class at another training facility when she was 10 weeks old like we had with Bella. I was shocked to see the instructor recommend a pinch collar for another puppy in the class the first night of class. I remember him saying “I’ll show you how to get that puppy to sit”! It was obvious that this was not the touch free training we had been used to. We went to class just for the social aspect and took part when we felt what was being done wouldn’t hurt Abby in any way. As soon as possible, we enrolled Abby in Leah’s Level 1 class. She did very well and has also been through Level 2 and 3 training.
Leah provides not only expertise in touch free training, but an amazingly positive attitude and wonderful atmosphere in her facility. She will also keep us on track so that we don’t slack off with this puppy and can suggest ways to do training exercises with both dogs that are age appropriate for both of them.
Bella is over 6 now and Abby is almost 5. We enjoy multiple walks a day on our acreage (without leashes). They girls still love to practice everything they learned whether it be off leash healing, backing, dropping, showing us stand stay or recall. It’s also been very helpful in several cases when we have dropped vitamins or aspirin that they know they aren’t supposed to pick up items that are dropped if they aren’t told they can have it. The vets always comment on how well behaved the two of them are during their appointments. We never have issues with shots, heart worm blood draws, taking temperature or looking at teeth and ears.
In addition to her training capabilities I’ve also learned a lot about nutrition and species appropriate feeding from Leah. When Bella was 3-4 months old she had 3 urinary tract infections that required treatment using antibiotics. I couldn’t figure out why she was having so many issues. After doing some research and talking to Leah it was apparent that the Science Diet Puppy food that we were feeding her was causing her issues. From seeing it at her facility I knew that Leah raw fed her dogs. I started asking questions and did some reading and decided to switch Bella to raw food. The infections cleared up and she’s never had another issue. When Abby came home she was switched to a raw diet right away. They have both always maintained a very healthy weight with lots of muscle. Our vet always comments on how good they look and that she wishes everyone managed the weight of their dogs as well.
Living in a rural area, I know that we are lucky to have a trainer like Leah nearby.
Leah – I know this is long! Use whatever you want. I had a lot to cover after 6 years!

Joan and Eep Off Leash HeelingWe adopted a young rescue 2 years ago from Retriever Rescue of Colorado. Her name is Eep. She is a retriever/Shibu–Inu cross and was quite a mess emotionally and mentally She is also extremely high-strung temperamentally. She was excessively hyper, disobedient, aggressive (resource-guarding). One day she got out of the backyard into the chicken area and killed 17 of our chickens. I had also been bitten a couple of times when she and our other dog got into a fight over food. So I was pretty distraught and didn’t know what to do. I had never done dog training before and was getting all my information from “The dog whisperer”. This wasn’t working.
Leah is AMAZING!! I really can’t say enough great things about her and the way that she trains. This was the best experience for my dogs. I adopted a Blue nose Pit Bull from the shelter, not much was known about her history. She was very uneasy with people and the other dogs in the house. Her gentle methods worked really well for my shy and unsure dog. After about 3-4 sessions with Leah she finally started to come out of her shell. She was more relaxed and really enjoyed training but, it didn’t feel like training, I was having fun with my dog and she was having fun too!. After our 5th session Leah was finally able to approach her with out her being stressed out. Leah took her time to make sure that my dog was comfortable with her and didn’t push her too fast or too hard. We’ve had now a little over a year and she is a different dog thanks to Leah!!! Thank you Leah for your help!!

My Brittany, Harlee and I have worked with Leah for over one year learning basic obedience in order for him to become a therapy dog. I was referred to Leah and I have been very happy with the force-free method she teaches, and the positive results for Harlee. Leah not only is thorough in our hourly lessons, but she also provides written instructions so that I can remember everything in the training she has given Harlee. There have been many times when I have not worked with Harlee as much as I should have between lessons, and Leah is very patient and will refresh what Harlee has learned before moving to the next level. She has an indoor area which is always very clean and very large and an enclosed outdoor area to teach loose leash training. I am very thankful that I not only found someone who is fairly close to where I live, but also someone who is a very competent trainer who loves what she does. I would highly recommend Leah to anyone who is looking for a qualified, learned, and passionate trainer for their four-legged family member, whether puppy or adult!

Our senior Australian Shepherd, Teddy, has spent time learning with Leah at Rocky Mountain Classic Canine. Leah has been so patient and loving with our slightly high strung boy. Leah has given us strong guidance and structure to help Teddy feel more confident and secure in his role as the dog in the house rather than the alpha. We have had several trainers for Teddy and Leah has been the best influence for him. He is always so excited to see her and spend time training with her.
We have added a new puppy to our family and can’t wait to work with Leah to help Skye grow into a confident aussie.

Leah is a knowledgeable trainer who understands dog behavior. As a fellow trainer, that is a rare find! Her skills and patience have led me recommend Leah to all my current clients when I was in the process of moving. There is nobody better in the area for obedience, service dog training, and trick training. I highly recommend Leah to everybody I come across!
Hedy Starr: Professional Dog Trainer
Thanks Leah for the privates lessons with Gunnar. Due to your knowledge, patience and ability to understand the puppy’s temperament, Gunnar picked up the training quickly. I personally learned a lot and enjoyed our basic obedience classes. I highly recommend them to anybody that wants basic training for their dog at any age. I have been using what Iv’e learned on my older dog as well. Thanks again! Patty Cec
